Opened almost a year ago in downtown Denver, The Art Hotel should be on your short-list for dining and staycations alike if you haven’t yet been. Situated near The Art Institute and the Denver Art Museum, it operates FIRE restaurant on its fourth floor {1201 Broadway, Denver; 303.572.8000}, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining room and a terrace overlooking Broadway Avenue below. While you can feast upon these views and FIRE’s menu for happy hour or dinner, the hotel is offering a unique summertime opportunity that will fire up your creative spirit.
This past Saturday, June 11, FIRE kicked off a tradition wherein every other Saturday, it offers complimentary CorePower yoga at 9am on the FIRE terrace. Running through September, this yoga experience will spoil you with gorgeous views, intermediate poses, a live DJ to help you get in your groove, spa water, sunscreen, ice-cold towels, and chances to win more CorePower classes.
And with every vinyasa you flow through, you’ll earn more sips of FIRE’s Bottomless Mimosas (only $10) and bites of delectable brunch dishes. We went for a classic Egg Benedict and a Spring Vegetable Hash, loaded with big juicy peas, lima beans, mushrooms, slivers of tender purple potatoes, and an addictive white Alabama barbecue sauce.
For something a little more indulgent, try the Croque Monsier with applewood ham and “copious amounts” of Gruyère on sourdough, or the Colorado Lamb Sliders with red pepper relish and chèvre.
If the heat and movement has you craving something light, Executive Chef Chris Jakubiec offers salads like the Spinach and Strawberry with Brie croquettes, Marcona almonds, and strawberry poppyseed vinaigrette as well as a Mountain Man Granola Parfait with seasonal fruit.
The next opportunity for this yoga-brunch pairing is June 25, so mark your calendars for vinyasas and mimosas in the heart of Denver.
