We’ve raved about Abejas {807 13th Street, Golden; 303.952.9745} before, in all its farm-to-table splendor, but now we can proudly say that we’ve enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this downtown Golden hot spot. (And let us just say that we can’t even pick a favorite meal, let alone a favorite dish.) So if you still haven’t made the trek to check out their midday eats, let us share our most recent lunch at Abejas experience to hurry you along.

Lunch at Abejas: Chicken Confit Sandwich

Chicken Confit Sandwich

This generous helping of slow-roasted chicken is met with caramelized onion, spinach, and arugula pesto, served up on a fresh potato bun that brings a bit of sweetness and crunch. Count on the side salad for an expertly seasoned way to keep this meal light and bright.

Shrimp-Saffron Risotto

Shrimp-Saffron Risotto

A simple dish done right—this rich and flavorful risotto is packed with wild mushrooms, cabbage, leeks, and Parmesan. And the lunch portion is just perfect to fill you up without throwing you over the edge.

Fresh Pasta

Daily Fresh Pasta

Lunchtime pasta is always a treat, but most especially when it’s fresh, pan-fried gnocchi topped with duck confit, wilted spinach, mixed greens, and plenty of Parmesan. Now add a duck confit broth and you’ve got a salty lunchtime savior that’s full of texture and just light enough to avoid that post-meal crash we were totally anticipating.
